We want to make sure you understand how we use and protect the information collected or provided by visitors to our website. We are committed to protecting your privacy and have adopted best practices in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

 

Using this website

This Privacy Policy describes the information collected from visitors to our site and how it is stored and processed by TRANSEARCH International on a global scale, as described below.

 

This website provides content and services for the professional and consumer public and is not intended for persons under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or store personal information provided by persons under the age of 13.

What information is collected?

 

We collect information about you that is limited to the information found on a typical business card: first name, last name, job title, employer/company name, work address, work email, and work phone number. In some cases, we may ask you to provide additional professional information, such as the size of the company you work for and the type of industry.

 

To enhance and/or update all information provided, we may combine it with professional information or personal data obtained from third party sources. Personal data referred to in this document is the personal and professional information that you provide to us, as well as information that we obtain from third party sources, both of which are usually combined into a single record.

 

This site also automatically collects and stores certain information using cookies (see Cookie Policy here) and similar technologies, including IP addresses, the region or general location of the computer or device accessing the Internet, browser type, operating system, page view history, and other usage information. This information helps us improve our website and is used for statistical analysis purposes only.

 

However, if a cookie can specifically identify a computer, mobile device or tablet (hereinafter referred to as a “Device”) or the person using that device, and you are an EU resident, it is personal data under the GDPR. Therefore, this Privacy Policy applies to such personal data collected by TRANSEARCH International.

 

How we collect them

 

Data may be collected when you register to receive certain content or services offered by TRANSEARCH International or other events, such as publications, subscriptions, competitions, newsletters, memberships, premium content, webcasts, videos, white papers, webinars, conferences and events. TRANSEARCH International will collect and use information obtained from professional recruitment sites, CVs and/or business-oriented social networks about you in a manner that is consistent with our obligations and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679. TRANSEARCH’s services are primarily executive search services and leadership services for executive-level positions in our clients’ organizations.

 

What happens if you do not provide personal information or choose not to consent to the sharing of personal information?

 

Your personal data is necessary for us to provide the requested content or services. You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide data to TRANSEARCH International, however, unless you consent to TRANSEARCH International storing your personal data or creating a personal registration for you, we cannot process your data without obtaining your consent to process and store your personal data.

Where permitted by law, data may be shared between TRANSEARCH International and its subsidiaries and affiliates for the purpose of providing relevant content and for internal analytical purposes and business development.

 

How do we protect your personal data?

TRANSEARCH International is committed to GDPR and data security. We recognise that information is a vital asset for any organisation and we take our obligations under GDPR seriously. We will comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 when using and sharing your personal data. This means, among other things, that we will only use your personal data:

• To the extent necessary for these purposes

Virtually all of our activities create information assets in some form or another, and we have ensured that safeguards are in place to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized use, access, accidental disclosure, alteration and destruction. We also require that third parties with whom we contract to support TRANSEARCH International’s business operations also use appropriate security measures (see “Sharing Your Information with Others” below). Your information may be stored on TRANSEARCH International’s own secure servers or other internally hosted technology. Your information may also be stored by third parties through cloud services or other technologies with whom TRANSEARCH International has contracted to support our business operations (see “Sharing your information with others” below).

 

These third parties do not have access to or permission to use your personal information for purposes other than cloud storage and retrieval, and TRANSEARCH International requires that these parties use at least the same level of security as we use to protect your personal information (see “Data Security” above).

 

Reporting security breaches

 

We are aware of our responsibility as a data controller to protect your data and only share details with third parties after receiving your explicit consent. All our systems are protected and only employees and consultants working for TRANSEARCH International have access to personal data stored on our systems.

 

In the unlikely event that there is a breach of our computer systems and a potential loss of confidentiality, we will notify you of the breach.

 

In the unlikely event that personal information from TRANSEARCH International records is stolen or disclosed without our consent, we will provide reports of such disclosure within 72 hours of notification of such event and will take all steps necessary to restore the security of your personal information.

We use the personal information we collect to correspond with you, consider your career opportunities, address your requests, improve the services provided, and present relevant information and services.

We will never share your personal data with a third party without your express consent, and then we will only share the personal data with that one company or individual.

If you are an EU resident, we will only share your personal information with third parties outside of TRANSEARCH International with your consent or pursuant to a contract or agreements.

If TRANSEARCH International shares your personal data between TRANSEARCH International affiliates or with any other third party as described in this Privacy Policy and your personal data will be transferred to a country that is not a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area or that the European Commission considers to be adequate, TRANSEARCH International (as data controller/data exporter) will only make such transfers (to data processors/data importers) if appropriate safeguards are in place, such as binding corporate rules, standard contractual clauses, approved codes of conduct or an approved certification mechanism.

 

How long do we keep your personal data?

 

We retain your personal data for the duration of your business relationship with us and only retain it for as long as is necessary for each purpose for which we use it, unless we have obtained your consent to use it for a different or similar purpose.

 

Your rights and preferences

 

As a data subject, you have a number of rights. You can:

• upon request, access your data and obtain a copy of it;
• request that the organization change incorrect or incomplete data;

We will respond to your subject access request within 20 days, responses to your subject access request are usually free of charge, but we reserve the right to charge fees for excessive or unfounded requests. We fully comply with data protection legislation and will assist with any investigation or request from the relevant authorities.
