Orxestra® Methodology

The Orxestra methodology is our unique corporate methodology and philosophy, which is interwoven throughout all of our company’s activities. Whether it is executive search services or management consulting.

Orxestra is a collection of many different tools and techniques that help us better understand our clients’ needs, identify their strengths and weaknesses in areas such as teamwork, company culture, talent management and leadership. On this basis, we can then build together and create plans and strategies for future development.

When working on executive search projects, Orxestra provides us with a unique perspective on company culture, expected candidate performance, leadership or team compatibility, which allows our consultants to meaningfully evaluate candidates in direct relation to the nature of the position and the specific company environment.

The Talent Wheel (see image) describes all 12 building blocks we use to find candidates. The blocks in red are added beyond the standard steps of a normal executive search service. By using them, we get better quality candidate shortlisting, higher engagement, stronger interview chemistry and a smoother onboarding into the new role. Not only does Orxestra significantly reduce the risk of mis-selection, but it also helps leaders hired through this method build longer and more successful careers compared to traditional recruitment processes.

John has extensive international experience as a manager and consultant. During his career he has worked in over 40 countries and for many of the world’s largest companies. For example, he has coached several international CEOs. He has taught extensively in MBA and management programs at business schools on both sides of the Atlantic. He has received several awards for teaching excellence and is also the recipient of the “Coach of the Year” award in Scandinavia.

He is now passing on this wealth of experience. John is the author of our unique Orxestra methodology.

He has published twelve professional books on people leadership and organizational culture. In 2016, he completed his trilogy Talent. The first volume of the series, TALENT: Attract, Select, Develop and Retain, was published in 2013. The second book, TEAM: Align, Build, Connect and Develop was published in early 2015. The A-Z of Corporate Culture book was published in 2017. Another very interesting book with reflections and advice on how to prepare for future challenges called Tomorrow Will Be Different – Will You? will be published in spring 2019.
